Chassis Stand DFM & Assembly

As a deliverable for BU Terrier Motorsports, I utilized limited inventory to weld custom stands out of carbon steel.

The initial designs were created using SolidWorks assembly and drawings. The physical components were personally machined and welded in separate facilities.

Skills Used:

Stands support 60,000 lbs. Polyethylene strips used for frictional support points along top frame of each stand. Utilized inventory stock to limit product BOM, produced products at significantly less cost than industry standard.

This project taught me to be resourceful when working on projects. Often, prior materials for similar projects can be repurposed.
